This stream involves protecting information systems from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, or destruction. Information security is more broader and a wider concept that IT security. This stream of security refers to the protection of all forms of information, including physical and electronic data from unauthorized access, usage, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. It correlates policies, procedures, and controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
As the term “Cyber Security”, it refers to the protection of networks, devices, and systems from cyber attacks. Cyber attacks can be in many manner such as malware, phishing, ransomware, denial of service, etc. This stream involves protecting digital assets from unauthorized access, theft, damage, or disruption.
